CTMH Sister Exchange

Last year at my first CTMH Convention in Disneyland I met 3 wonderful consultants (Jennifer, Jackie and Nancy) who have become great friends.

We didn't know each other to start but just clicked and had an absolutely fantastic time. 

We live in different parts of Canada but keep in touch by email.

We are all attending convention in Dallas this year and rooming together. I can hardly wait for the fun to begin. Yeehaw.

Anyway, last Christmas we did a CTMH Sister Gift Exchange.

This is the wall hanging I came up with using the Memory Game Tiles covered with Roxie paper.

Stamp sets are Love Life, Key Moments and Winter Joy. The ribbon is held at the top with an Antique Copper Designer Brad.

You Make Me Smile

Well I'm a little late getting this card done.  I've been a bit under the weather this week and kind of lost my mojo.

I decided to make a card with minimal layering and no matting for the H2H Stitching Challenge. For the stitching around the flower I cut a template 1/2" bigger with my Cricut Art Philosophy.  The stem is just freehand stitching. The flower pot is paper pieced using Lucy. The sentiment is from Hooray Bouquet. I think I like the result.

Old Favorite

Good morning to everyone and happy Friday the 13th!

Today I decided to showcase a card I have re-created many times. I love how it looks and it seems to fit all different occasions.  It was also my swap card at the CTMH Convention last year in Disneyland. 

This is an all black and white version that I have used for weddings. I have also done it with different colour swirls, butterfly and ribbon depending on the occasion.

The Find Your Style stamp set is definitely one of my all-time favorites.

H2H Challenge

Well here I go, jumping into the Sketch/Challenge world. I've always played around with sketches and challenges but never officially did anything. Today I'm taking the plunge and submitting this card to the H2H April Sketch Challenge. I decided to use the very cute Superhero Paper Pack and Super Powers stamp set as well as my Cricut Art Philosophy, of course.

Birthday Card for a Special Friend

One of my very dear friends and colleagues just came back to work after being off for a year and half.  She had a very stressful time that in the end turned out perfectly. I am so thrilled, and relieved, for her and wanted to wish her a very special happy birthday.  I knew when I saw the Florentine paper pack that it would be perfect.

I used my Cricut Art Philosphy cartridge to make the flower, heart, tag and doily.  The doily is dipped in tea, scrunched and dried, which gives it a very authentic rustic look. (Its hard to tell by the photo)

I would love to give credit for this card to the designer but unfortunately I can't remember their name. It was featured in one of the recent card making magazines. Whoever you are, I thank you.

Sonoma

Another favorite paper pack of mine is Sonoma, featured in the Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book and still available in the Spring/Summer 2012 book. The colours are so versatile for both feminine and masculine projects.

The canister is embellished with Sonoma paper and My Stickease, as well as a butterfly, flowers and a doily cut with the Cricut Art Philsophy. 

On the Kraft Die-cut card I used My Acrylix Hooray Bouquet, Sweet Moments, Love Life and  A Wonderful Season.

On this birthday card for my brother I used My Acrylix Key Moments and Cherish the Day, as well as Milepost shapes and pewter accessories.

On this last card, I once again used My Acrylix Hooray Bouquet which co-ordinates with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  The background swirls are made with Love Life. I embellished with Colonial White Accessories.
