"A FRIEND LIKE YOU"

This card is cased from the Spring/Summer Idea Book page 21.
I just shrunk it down to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

I used prisma glitter on the flower centres, as well as some blue and clear sparkles.
The flowers are stamped with Card Word Puzzle on the yellow B & T from Pemberly and Indian Corn Blue cardstock.
I used Outdoor Denim Ink and Honey ink for the flowers.
The sentiment is from "A Friend Like You" stamped in Outdoor Denim.

"Heart" Flower

CONVENTION SWAP CARD - BETTER LATE THEN NEVER

I saw a flower like this some time ago in one of the paper/card magazines.  Finally decided to give it a try.
I used it as my swap card for convention this past July, but never got it posted.

I used the heart shape from My Acrylix Art Philosophy Seasons included with the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection.
I stamped the image on both sides using Tulip, then folded the heart in half.

The flourish is Love Life in Pear, the Sentiment is Card Word Puzzle.
The flower centre is a Bling Assortment Button.
Ribbon is Daisy White Organza, a little hard to see in the picture.
I tried other ribbons but they all just seemed too heavy.

Back at Last!

Wow, have I been gone from the blog world for a long time.

We had such a busy spring/summer. In May we sold our house and bought a new one, then moved in June.

Then it was off to Dallas for the CTMH Convention in July, where I met up with my very good friends and close to my heart sisters, Jennifer, Jackie and Nancy. What a great time we had and a good break from packing and unpacking.

Then back home to renovate pretty much the whole house and yard. Definitely worth the effort, but kept me away from my craft room and computer for much of the summer.

I just finished renovating and painting my craft room so I'm now good to go. I really couldn't get creative in a room painted "Watermelon", for those of you that remember the retired CTMH colour.

Had a card class with some great gals the other night and this is one of the cards we made.

I used smoothie for the card base. Cut the flower from the white daisy mat using Art Philosophy and the centre-point feature, I cut it 1/4" larger than the stamp image, then popped it up. The flowers are stamped in lagoon, smoothie and sweet leaf, the sentiment is stamped in lagoon. All the images are from Hooray Bouquet. Finished if off with some Paradise Assortment Baker's Twine.
